The Antenna comes with MOUNTING KITS. The panel antenna extends the AP ranges in a single floor setting, and it is best to be positioned in the corner of the building. The antenna is point-point, directional transmission so you can connect to LANS between the buildings in the campus settings. The coverage angle is 180 degree. It's used for outdoor ONLY. The range is up to 14700 feet (2.8 miles). The connector type is N FEMALE so strongly suggest use N MALE TYPE LOW LOSS PRE-ASSEMBLIED CABLES for best results.

This is a lot more than i expected…i upgraded to this from a 5dbi omni stock antenna that came with my alfa 1000mw adapter..I am able to pick up signals from like 1.5km away tru some tress and a lot of concrete houses in between..I need to go up in the mountains where i can overlook the city point and shoot and really see the maximum performance of this baby..But for now i am truly satisfied with this product..one thing to note u need to mount this antenna kinda high and over all obstacles for best performance…..

Ordered this antenna and had it shipped to Iraq where I am stationed. Within half a hour I jury rigged a system to place it on top my buildings roof by tying it to a folding chair with some nylon cord and ran a cable to my office. In other words a very VERY redneck rig. I had very low expections….
Using just a 500mw Alfa wifi card I went from seeing 3 or so wifi networks to over 20. Some of them are off of my base which is over 4 square miles in size…. Of those I have found 3 networks which provide me with free wifi and all three of those hotspots are well over half a mile away from where I have this antenna mounted.
So by spending $60 on some cable and this antenna I now have free wifi in Iraq. The normal rate for internet over here starts at $60 and averages around $80 for slow wifi!
Once the 1watt wifi signal booster I have ordered arrives and I permanantly mount the antenna… I will provide a more indepth review! For now and very very pleased.
