Best router I ever owned. Runs both wireless radio channels at the “same time”. Like having two routers in one. Great wireless coverage. Easy setup and software. Best price since refurbished.

Ordered the E3000 as I wanted a replacement for my aging wireless g Belkin router, grew tired of interference with the 2.4Ghz spectrum, and I didn’t want to skimp on quality this time. The Belkin did ok but so far the Cisco is functioning fantastic. A little trouble with the initial router setup (just like my last one) however, once that was complete, the config was a cinch. Added a network printer and updated firmware with ease. I read on one of these router reviews that connecting to a Comcast modem was a problem? Not a problem here! Clone your workstation’s MAC address, reboot the modem, voila, the router is on the internet. Would have given it 5 stars but c’mon, its a refurb, the clear plastic has swirl marks on it…had to knock off one star.
PS- the gigabit ports are blazing fast!

Okay, so I’ve never had a router before, and we finally had to get one, what with every piece of electronics in the house requiring updates from the net. That said, bought this router and was happy that there was a CD to get me started… but who knew it was USELESS! I might point out that this would have been absolutely fine had we never used our modem before, but we had and that was the major source of the problem. I followed all the steps and couldn’t get on the net because it couldn’t find it! I kept trying over and over, resetting the modem, searching online, and all I managed to confirm was that if you have comcast for internet, you’re likely to have a problem! But when you go looking for the help, I couldn’t find anything telling me what to do when it couldn’t find an internet connection, not on the site for the modem or on the message boards, just that it’s a consistant problem for this modem and comcast… so a friend came over, taught me how to access the modem the right way and most importantly, how to reset the modem because that was the problem with why I couldn’t get to the net.
Now that the router is hooked up, it’s SO easy to use and love the fact that we notice no delays or downtime, regardless of whether we’re using the main computer that’s hardwired to the router or the one that’s wireless or the blueray or the Wii… it’s all good and we’re lovin’ it!
