The install disk was useless for Windows 7, but after downloading the driver from the web, it worked like a champ! For the price ($13.85 including shipping), can’t beat it! The integrated wireless NIC on my daughter’s Compaq F500 mother board died. It appears this is very common on this model, so the Linksys USB adapter was a great, inexpensive solution.

This is the 3rd cisco refurbished product I’ve bought and they all work. I think who ever returned them didn’t know how to use/install but for these prices I hope they keep returning items!!!

I purchased this for my wife’s laptop after the upgrade rendered the onboard wireless inoperative. I personally have had only successful experiences with refurbished products. Many are simply returns from outlets. I chose this product because of pricing and brand recognition. It came with software and enough warranty to be able to test run.
I read other reviews before purchasing to get a feel for its performance after others installed it.
Simple to install, efficient in operation, quality product.

Simply followed the instructions that came with it, and was up and running in less than 5 mins. Works like a dream.

I have worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. I have been working with performing custom home and business wifi networks for the last 7 years since it became more prevalent in the industry. I bought two of these, one for my son’s gaming computer, one as an extra. I was pleased at how quickly it was shipped to our home. They were in excellent condition for refurbs, the CD came with it and was new. The installation went smoothly and I was getting full bars on it even with being a couple hundred feet away from the WAP and it being on another floor of the house. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to connect up a remote computer or a laptop. This was an inexpensive alternative to running wire in our house or buying a new wifi usb device. I will definitely be purchasing a couple more of these as spares to have around.

I’ve used it several times a day the last three months on my Compaq Presario V3051NR notebook in the dining room after the internal wireless went out. I used the supplied software and it has worked good. At first I lost connection often until I hung the adapter from the dining room light with the supplied USB cable. Since then I rarely loose my connection. My WRT54G wireless router is on the other side of the house. I might not need the extension cord if it was closer. If I do loose the connection, I unplug and replug the USB cord for a moment and it reconnects in 15-30 seconds. I’m also happy with how quick it comes up after waking the notebook. Overall, I’m delighted to have my wireless back for less than $20 and not have to replace the notebook.

I got a v3 (black) adapter instead of the silver, which I was replacing. It works reliably so far. I was forced to reinstall the driver software several times for my older adapter. This hasn’t been an issue with the new one.

I bought this for my brother, since his internal one broke. He hasn’t complained about it yet but it’s only been a month

Bought this for my girlfriends computer so we could get rid of the cable running across her front room. So far it works great! no problems. I think I might buy another one for my kids computer, again to get rid of the cable running through the front room.

this usb adapter is pretty solid. even though it’s refurbished it works well, especially with its own software and not the windows wizard one. with the windows software i would lose connection sometimes but, with its one software i have never lost connection. although the connection signal fluctuates sometimes, it overall provides a fast and dependable connection.
