The N-router is performing flawlessly after a month of use. The up and download speeds and range are clearly better than the Linksys it replaced.
The only improvement that I might recommend is more clear written installation instructions. I had to download and use the manual to successfully configure the security. Once configured adding additional computers was simple.
Highly recommend as a cost-effective alternative to the name brand routers.

No serious complaints. Works as advertised and the small size and weight are nice. Build quality is equal or better to other brands. Only slight disappointment is the wireless range. This unit replaced an Airport Express but the AE seemed to get equal or slightly better range and it had only an internal antenna. I expected the EnGenius to be better with its two external antennas, but it doesn’t seem to be.
Otherwise the user interface is good, and an IT professional whom I know locally told me the EnGenius routers are good products. Overall I would still recommend this unit.

After receiving the router from Amazon, I plugged it in, plugged in one computer via ethernet, connected to the router’s web page to set up the wireless settings, then set up a second computer and a printer via wireless, all in less than 10 minutes, with no need for outside instructions. Cool. Easy, cheap, and it just worked – and the speed is lightning-fast. The second antenna (included) means I get good signal all over my house, even in the basement, a tick my old Linksys never mastered.
The only drawback seems to be that a couple of times after we’ve lost power, the computers haven’t automatically re-connected correctly. I haven’t determined if that’s because of the router, or just standard Windows lameness. Regardless, for the price, it’s a great value. Incidentally, EnGenius also has an 802.11N USB wireless adapter (which I’m also using); the two pair up great.
