I Like the item, but I could not believe it cost $ 6.99 to ship a 3.2 OUNCE USB Adapter.
$ 6.99 is crazy. The USB adapter cost $ 19.99 & shipping was $ 6.99 Total $ 26.98.

I couldn’t imagine a device this tiny would work so well as a wireless adapter. It does!! Follow instructions on installation. If using encryption, save your setup in a profile so you don’t have to enter the encryption code each time.
Once installed, you forget that this device is running. I use it with my Cisco WRT160N V2 router, so I am running at “N” speeds. Link speed shows 65 mbps on transmit and 117 mbps on receive. This is displayed with the very nice utility that comes with this device.
The price for this is almost a giveaway for what you get. I would buy this again. As a matter of fact, I also own the GW-US300MiniS by the same company.

I bought this for use on Xlink Kai for PSP, was easy to set up following the tutorials on the Kai website. Works great for normal use however I ran into a temporary issue when trying to use it with a specific game. If you are on Windows 7 and you would like to use this for either of the Phantasy Star Portable games, You must install the XP drivers and software using XP compatibility mode. After that everything works great. The reason for this is the special way you join and host games in Phantasy Star, It needs either the Planex config software or the Windows Vista Zero config. Normal Windows 7 installation has neither. But do as I said and you’ll be all set.

I INSTALLED IT INSIDE OF A NETBOOK AND THE SIGNAL IS NOT THE BEST. I MODED A NETBOOK INTO A MAC AND NEEDED WI-FI THAT WOULD WORK WITH MAC. THE SOFTWARE IS EASY ENOUGH BUT IT DOES HAVE SINGLE PROBLEMS. IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE I CUT MY MOTHER BOARD TO MAKE MORE ROOM FOR IT TO FIT INSIDE THE ENCLOSURE. OR IT COULD BE THE FACT THAT THE SINGLE HAS TO TRAVEL THREW THE MOTHERBOARD OR THE SSD AND I BENT TO MAKE ADDITIONAL ROOM. ( I DO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING) IT DOES WORK THOUGH SO I GAVE IT 4 STARS.

Basically I use this everywhere. I generally bought this so I can use my psp through ad-hoc mode but, even for wifi connections, it came out pretty handy at times. If you have a laptop that gets mediocre signals, you can add this with your own connection to get a boost! I’ve been doing this a couple times so I don’t get a d/c.

This small wifi adapter is well made and does a good job. I was able to stream video to my notebook in another part of the house using this little adapter. My notebook connected at 150Mbps. after 2 hours the unit was only warm not hot like some dongles.

I have to say that I was a bit skeptical considering that not all Planex Wifi Adapters work well for Xlink Kai. But I bit the bullet considering that I really love Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and wanted more than one way to get online, especially since I can’t lug my PS3 everywhere for adhoc party.
My only suggestion is that you download the latest drivers from planex’s website and then if you’re going to use Xlink Kai, get the latest kai drivers and overwrite the original drivers with them. Only works for Kai in Windows XP 32bit and Vista 32bit btw, so good luck if you have a 64 bit os.

If you’re playing MHFU, add me to your kai friends list or PSN.. It’s “MHFU_Lucian04″ for both of them.
