This was my first time using a wireless router and the set up could not be easier. I used the supplied CD-ROM which gave a simple step by step video setup. The whole setup took about 10 minutes.
I am using this to connect my PS3 to the internet. So far I have only lost the connection once, and all I had to do is reconnect which took less then 15 seconds.
I got this on sale from Amazon and after reading the reviews I was a little concerned, but it works, and it works great. The signal however does vary, I saw it as low as 65% and as high as 85% but it stays connected during those times.
All in all, I am happy with the router.

Very easy router to install. Pop the CD into your PC. Keep your PC attached to your modem until instructed to attach it to the Trendnet Modem and that is all there is to it.
The Trendnet modem software learns all of your ISP setting while your PC is attached to your Modem and then sets the Trendnet router correctly to work from the first get go. No fussing with the question of am I on a DSL service or a Cable Broadband service, each of which require different settings as they operate in different ways.

All I wanted was an affordable router to keep my Wii connected wirelessly 24/7. This was my first experience with setting up a router, so I was a little lost at first, but once I figured it out, both my Wii and my Nintendo DSi could connect to it flawlessly. Security settings were also easy to enable. This router now allows me to stream Netflix movies to my Wii in a matter of seconds, and plays them without interruption; it’s absolutely wonderful! It also has four ethernet ports for all your other wired connections, which for the first time has allowed my wife and I to have both our computers connected to the internet simultaneously. It’s been a godsend.
So: The bottom line is, if your connection needs are simple AND you’re on a tight budget, then this is absolutely the router for you. It really works great, and I remain absolutely delighted with mine!

I was shopping for a good low-budget router with wireless-G. Mainly it’s used for a wired LAN and occasional notebook connection. For the price i paid (just mere tax after rebates), i didn’t expect much out of the TEW432BRP. However, the overall experience has by far surpassed my expectation.
First, the installation is too easy and bloatware free. I consider myself computer savvy and have always been trying to avoid using the installation CD from any device i have purchased in the past. The reason, i just don’t want any junk software installed along with the device driver on my computer. When i got this Trendnet router, i was curious and pop the installation CD in to see what’s in it. It is absolutely clean and contains just a install wizard and a trial network software. You can choose not to install the trial software. The instruction is easy to follow and i successfully installed it in one shot. One thing that surprises me. I use DSL connection. The wizard didn’t even ask me for my DSL login/password for the PPPoE setup but connects away successfully. My other routers did. Trendnet is Awesome!
Second, the wired connection is as stable as any major brand’s routers. Of course, nobody expects anything less. (I do have a Belkin router that disconnects/reconnects every 5 seconds. Yes, 5 seconds!)
Now the wireless part, i use a Linksys wireless-G adapter and a Airlink+ wireless-b adapter. I set the WLAN on the router to Auto and both notebooks connect fine. I have not thoroughly tested the range yet but from my bedroom to living room, there’s no problem so far.
For everyday basic needs, this router delivers. For hardcore gaming network configurations, Linksys or Netgear is your safer bet. I am extremely happy with this Trendnet wireless-G router, and the 3-yr warranty is very generous. The price i paid couldn’t even get a Linksys antenna. Instead, i got myself an awesome low-budget wireless-G router.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding to purchase this router and I haven’t regretted the decision.
Initially, I had a problem where the router would freeze whenever transferring large amounts of data via wireless. I managed to narrow down the cause to my selection of AES encryption for WPA. Once I changed the encryption back to the default TKIP, the problems disappeared and I haven’t had to reboot the router since.
My only ongoing complaint is that the router automatically reboots itself after any change in settings.
Overall, a reliable product!

When it comes to wireless routers you should buy the cheapest. There is a higher speed in the market now but Wireless G speed much much more than anyone need at home. Its 54Mbps, which is 10 times faster than your DSL modem can deliver so a higher wireless speed network won’t help you in anyway (Except if you are transfering huge files within your home or something like that, still 54Mbps is very high. Till recently I had 10Mbps router connecting 3 to 4 computers at home without any problems). This is very easy to setup too, just buy it.

I have purchased over 30 of these wireless routers and have had absolutely no problems with them what so ever from any of my clients that I have installed them for. The 3 Year Warranty is definitely a plus and beats almost all of the other manufactures that only offer a 1 year warranty such as Netgear. Highly recommend!

Easy to setup (took less than 45 minutes).
Strong Wi-Fi signal, works fine two rooms across.
Very useful and convenient as it has both wired and wireless options. I use the wired option (LAN connection) for my desktop computer and VOIP phone and the wireless for my laptop.
Definitely recommend it.

I had a 7 year old Linksys 802.11b wireless router that was starting to give us problems… reducing speed intermittently thru out the day, and ceasing downloads when the kitchen microwave was running (uh oh, another problem?)
I wanted a G version wireless router as a physical drop in replacement, since I was very happy w/ my configuration hooked into a 5Meg Cable Modem. I also didn’t want to wait for the unit to arrive snail-mail, so I utilized the Next Day service (extra cost). Interestingly, the combined cost was STILL lower than that of local stores, incl Worst-Buy.
It arrived as promised (I’m amazed!!). I took it out of the box, followed the instructions in the Quick Install.
The SW found the old driver, asked if I wanted to keep the previous set-up (yes), and then proceeded to install the rest of the SW & told me when to physically install the hardware.
POW!! It worked 1st time!! Amazing, for such an inexpensive unit.
And instead of the previous 802.11b speeds I was getting (1.4M download), I’m now getting 802.11g 3.5M wireless downloads vs 4.6M hardwired to the Cable modem. And even the microwave can’t slow it down, anymore!
I’m very pleased w/ this inexpensive (though plastic) unit… AND I’m very pleased w/ Amazon’s shipping service as well. My expectations were exceeded… which is also why I just purchased a 52″ LCD Samsung (120Hz) thru Amazon, as well. They consistently lead the way.

Upgrading finally from my B router. Probably the last one in the neighborhood to do so.
There are three versions of the TEW-432BRP (the outer casings look slightly different). They’re roughly labelled A, B, and C. I wound up with the C one. Its the best G router i’ve ever seen, for a few reasons:
1. “Easy CD” actually worked and led me through a wizard that had me running in under 5 minutes. It was even intelligent enough to figure out that my cable company’s router needed a reset.
2. When you go into the firmware, there are some interesting and unusual settings you can tweak. It has the usual things like ‘dont broadcast ssid’ and all the rest of it. But it also had unusual settings that I’d never seen before, like the ability to set the output of its signal at “full power” or “half power” or “quarter” or “eigth” or “minimum”. Seemed like an interesting option; I usually sit 10 feet from it, maybe I can reduce the microwaves bombarding my brain? I tried it on the various levels and did throughput tests. Interestingly, it was at “quarter power” that I had the fastest throughput. I dont know why, but I can live with that. I was glad to have that option to reduce the output signal’s power level in the router, though.
3. Excellent transmission spread, strong signal, and fast. I know the bottleneck is supposed to be the dsl/cable conneciton itself, but I would swear my browsing is faster and snappier now. And my connection speed to my local network drive improved five-fold (which was why I got a g router in the first place).
Its a great deal under twenty-five on sale.
